Hampton Convocation Center Information

Convocation Center Fan Information

ADA Information
ADA accessible parking is available in all campus lots on first come first serve basis.  Accessible seating is located on the floor near the Hampton bench in section A5. If you are in need of special accommodations, please call to notify the ticket office well in advance of the game, (757) 728-6832. 

Admission
All fans entering the Convocation Center regardless of age must have a valid ticket to gain admission to the stadium. Doors open one hour before kickoff for public entry into the arena. There is NO re-entry.

Alcoholic Beverages
Visitors to the Convocation Center are not allowed to bring alcohol inside of the arena. Intoxicated and/or disorderly behavior as well as violation of any alcohol policy may result in ejection from the Convocation Center without refund and could result in the loss of tickets.

Banners, Signs, and Flags
Banners, signs and flags are not permitted inside the Convocation Center.

Bag Policy
To ensure a safe game day experience, we are implementing a new bag policy. We strongly encourage fans to use clear bags. Small hand bags, no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” are allowed but will be subject to security check.  


Concessions
Concession stands are located on the floor level concourse behind sections B4 and B5.

Game Day Ticket Sales and Will Call
For game day ticket sales and general fan will call, visit the Convocation Center Ticket Window.  The Game Day ticket offices will open one hour before tip off. We encourage fans to take advantage of our mobile ticket options to avoid lines, especially on big games. For more info about mobile ticketing, click here.

Player tickets for both teams and recruit Will Call are located at the pass list table inside of Convocation Center.  Use doors near the ticket booth. 

ID is required for all Will Call ticket retrievals.

Lost Persons/Lost and Found
To report a lost person or lost item, contact the nearest event staff or police officer.

 
Parking Information
Parking is available for FREE in the lots closest to the Convocation Center, Lot 10 (Black Lot) and Lot 11 (White Lot)

Prohibited & Permitted Items
All persons entering the arena are subject to search. To protect the safety of our patrons, players, officials and staff, the following items are prohibited.

Prohibited Items
  • Coolers/Containers/Bags (unless medical supplies and prior approved)
  • Fireworks / Explosive / Weapons (including guns and pocket knives with blades longer than 4")
  • Illegal drugs; follows State and campus guidelines
  • Laser pointers
  • Noisemakers (horns, whistles, cow bells, turkey calls, etc.)
  • Outside food or beverage
  • Pets (except service animals)
  • Signs, flags, banners
  • Smoking/Vaping (allowed in designated areas only)
  • Strollers
  • Umbrellas
  • Unmanned aircraft (drones)
Seating
For Hampton men's basketball games, the following sections are reserved. All other sections are general admission. All seats are general admission for Hampton women's basketball games. Sections C4 & C5 Floor and Mezzanine are for the Hampton Band. 
    Reserved Sections:    
    Floor: A1, A2, A3, B1, B2 C2, C3, D1, D2, D4
    Mezzanine: A1, A2, A3, B1, B2

Security Checks
All persons entering the arena may be subject to search by stadium personnel prior to entering the gates. 
 
Smoking/Vaping
Convocation Center is a smoke-free environment in all facilities, both indoor and outdoor. Smoking/vaping WILL NOT BE PERMITTED on the concourses, seating areas, restrooms or portals leading to the seating area.

Sportsmanship
Hampton University Athletics and the Coastal Athletic Association expect good sportsmanship for all in attendance at our events. We will not tolerate usage of foul, abusive, or obscene language. Any spectator that uses such language that is discriminatory based on gender, sexual orientation, gender identification, age, race, national origin, religion, military status, disability status or any other characteristic is subject to removal from Armstrong Stadium.  No refunds will be given in these cases.
